What is MOTOR VEHICLE MECHANICS (MVM)?

  • Motor Vehicle Mechanics is a specialized field in mechanics, focusing on the repair and maintenance of vehicles.
  • MVM equipes an individual with the skills to diagnose and fix various Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic issues.

Course content

  • Our curriculum typically covers areas like vehicle engines, cooling systems, lubrication systems, fuel system, clutch systems, suspension system, steering system, brake system, differential unit system, propellor shaft, gearbox, half shafts, road wheels and tires etc.
  • The trainee will be able to use diagnostic machine, to use workshop tools and equipment well and also learn workshop rules and safety.
  • Remember as a mechanic, your safety comes first because mostly, we use components and equipment made of metal and we also use running machines.

Career path

  • Graduates of MVM can find employment in various automotive fields including: Instructor, Auto shop repair, Dealership, Mechanic at transportation companies etc.

Skills developed

  • MVM graduates are trained to perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, repair damaged components and how to use specialized tools and equipment.

Note that in Automotive department we offer two courses that is Motor vehicle mechanic and Motor vehicle electrician.

The course duration for grade III is six months, three months’ attachment and the trainee comes back for grade II.
